Biography of Nouriel Roubini

Nouriel Roubini was born on March 29, 1958, to Jewish and Iranian parents in Istanbul, Turkey. He returned to Iran at age 6 with his family, but later immigrated to Israel and then to Italy and eventually to the United States. Nuril Rubini lived in Milan, Italy from 1962 to 1983, studying at the local Jewish school and then at the University of Buccaneer, earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from the university. After immigrating to the United States, he received his doctorate in international economics from Harvard in 1988, and during his studies he was an economist and professor at Jeffrey Sachs. Nuril Rubin is an American citizen and speaks English, Farsi, Hebrew, Italian and French.
